IN OUR WORDS

If I wasn't a figure skater ... (MacMillan) I would play soccer and water polo.

My favorite thing about being a figure skater is ... (MacMillan) seeing how hard work and effort results in something I am very proud of.

My figure skating hero is ... (Miller) Alissa Czisny. I admire Alissa because even when she is having trouble with her results in skating, she fights her way back to the top. I admire this more than anything else. Through observing her dedication and perseverance when I was younger, I learned to never give up and to always try my best.

I manage my pre-skate jitters by ... (Miller) listening to music that has a good beat or motivational lines and visualizing myself having a great skate! These methods help me to relax before I compete.

My hobbies are ... (MacMillan) reading, sports, computer/video games, writing.

The best moment of my figure skating career thus far was ...
(Miller) the experience of skating my program at my first U.S. Championships. It was incredible to be skating in a competition with so many spectators in the audience and on a national platform. Having the opportunity to skate at championships was rewarding because of the many years I spent training to reach that goal. I enjoyed the competition immensely!
