SKATING NOTES
Announced partnership in April 2012.Yankowskas began skating at age 6 because her sister was taking a learn-to-skate class and she "wanted to be like her" ... Participated in the Basic Skills Program from 1996-99 ... Competed with John Coughlin for four seasons, during which time they won the 2011 U.S. title, bronze at 2010 Cup of China, placed fourth at the Four Continents Championships in 2010 and '11, and finished sixth in their lone appearance at the World Championships (2011) ... Previously skated with Daniyel Cohen (2004-07) ... Previously coached by Alexander Vlassov and Dalilah Sappenfield and Larry Ibarra.
Reagan started skating when he was 8 ... Skated with Ashley Cain from 2009-12 ... They are 2011 U.S. junior champions and the 2010 U.S. novice champions ... They are the only pairs team to win the U.S. novice and junior titles in consecutive seasons, and finished fourth at the 2011 World Junior Championships ... Previously coached by Staci McMullin, Mike Leeke and Peter and Darlene Cain ... Fell while skating when he was 14 and suffered a concussion, causing him to lose sight in his right eye for about a year ... Returned to skating after swimming for four years in high school.

My favorite thing about being a figure skater is ... (Yankowskas) competing! I love the thrill of competition and I love performing in front of an audience. Knowing that the hours of hard work and training have paid off after a great performance at an important competition truly is the most rewarding feeling. Not only is placing well at a competition, but hearing the audience clap and appreciate how you performed is amazing. It makes me want to work harder and motivates me to compete even better the next time!
I started skating because ... (Yankowskas) of my sister, Erica. I wanted to be exactly like her when I was little. When our parents signed her up for learn-to-skate at a local rink, I insisted that I be signed up as well. My parents said yes, and I wore hockey skates with rainbow laces my first time out on the ice. I was side-by-side with my best friend and I loved every second of it. Skating instantly became my favorite thing to do!

I manage my pre-skate jitters by ... (Reagan) listening to a combination or rap and classical music.
My hobbies are ... (Yankowskas) ballet, hot yoga, going to the gym, make up and fashion! I also love going to the movies, especially with my sister when I visit back home!
