CONNECT WITH US
IN OUR WORDS
If I wasn't a figure skater ... (Rachel) I would be an artist, ski or run cross country.
... (Michael) I would spend my time playing guitar and participating other sports like football and skiing.
I look up to ... (Rachel) Tanith Belbin and my coaches.
... (Michael) Oscar Pistoriu. He is the most inspirational athlete I have ever seen. He had his legs amputated from the knees down but he still competes against able-bodied athletes every day. My favorite quote from him is, "You are not disabled by the disabilities you have, you are able by the abilities you have."
My favorite thing about being a figure skater is ... (Rachel) competing with my best friends, and the costumes!
... (Michael) having the opportunity to travel around the world, meet new people and experience new things like feeling the pressure just before stepping on the ice of your first international competition and the feeling you get when you're done. I wouldn't have it any other way.
My figure skating hero is ... (Michael) Charlie White. Because of the way he skates and how he seems to never let the pressure of a big competition get to him.
Something most people don't know about me is ... (Rachel) I play guitar, sing and love to draw.
... (Michael) I am in a band.
The best moment of my skating career thus far was ... (Rachel) representing the USA at the 2012 Youth Olympic Games in Innsbruck, Austria.
... (Michael) performing our free dance at 2012 World Junior Championships in Minsk, Belarus.
