Lichtman and Copely are the 2011 U.S. junior champions and the 2011 world junior bronze medalists ... Started skating together in August 2008.

Lichtman started skating when she was 6 after her father, who was the mayor, had an ice arena built in her hometown ... Participated in the Basic Skills Program in 1999 ... Is the youngest of four children ... Father, Lawrence, is an attorney and mother, Holly, is an interior designer ... Graduated magna cum laude from Northville High School in 2011 ... Won the Department of English, Department of Social Studies and Arctic Figure Skating Academic Excellence awards ... Member of the German Honor Society and National Honor Society ... Starts her freshman year at the University of Michigan in the fall of 2011 ... Does volunteer work as a member of the National Honor Society ... Also devotes time to Northville Civic Concern, which helps those in need with food, and the Northville Community Foundation ... Copely started skating when he was 3 because his mother and sister were skaters, and he wanted to join them on the ice ... Older sister, Katherine, is an ice dancer who most recently represented Lithuania with Deividas Stagniunas ... Copely and Stagniunas finished 14th at both the 2008 and 2009 World Championships, and qualified for the 2010 Olympic Winter Games but were unable to compete because of Katherine's citizenship issues ... Father, Dean, is a doctor and mother, Sandra, is a costume designer ... Has two cats, Miko and Spooky ... Competed with Anastasia Cannuscio from 2007-08, winning the U.S. novice bronze medal in 2007 ... Competed in singles, pairs and dance at the U.S. Junior Championships ...
