Summersett began skating because her mother was a Basic Skills instructor ... Is the youngest of four girls, all of whom figure skated at some point in their lives ... Father is a dentist and mother is an occupational therapist ... Formerly skated with Elliott Pennington and was coached by Iveta Ice and Dmitri Boundukin from 2003-06 ... Attends the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs and has taken several archaeology classes with Gilles, the most recent being experimental archaeology ... Hobbies include doing outdoor activities ... Favorite foreign city traveled to is Tallinn, Estonia, because "the old city was unbelievable every time we explored the cobblestone streets" ... Gilles began skating at age 4 while trying out a bunch of other sports at the time ... Is the older brother of Piper and Alexe Gilles ... Piper is a competitive ice dancer who won the 2009 U.S. junior bronze medal with Zachary Donohue, and Alexe is a singles skater who won the 2008 U.S. junior crown ... Todd formerly skated with Trina Pratt from 2001-06, winning the 2003 U.S. novice and 2005 U.S. junior titles in that time ... Father is an orthopedic surgeon and mother is a registered nurse ... Coached by Jeremy Lieb from 1998-2000 ... Attends the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs and has taken several archaeology classes with Summersett, the most recent being experimental archaeology ... Has a passion for music ...
