* Obertas competed for the Ukraine until 2000, then moved to Russia and is now living in St. Petersburg
* She skated for Ukraine from 1996-2000 with Dmitri Palamarchuk on the junior level. Together, they won the 1998 and 1999 World Junior championship and the 1997 and 1998 Junior Grand Prix Final.
* Obertas and Palamarchuk broke up after the 2000 World Championships, where he caught an edge on a lift and they both fell to the ice
* She then teamed up with Alexei Sokolov and represented Russia from 2000-03
* Obertas and Slavnov switched coaches in the fall of 2006, going back to their previous coach, Ludmila Velikova
* Have landed a quadruple twist in competition but not since the 2005-06 season
