Finished second at the 2007 Junior World Team Selection competition ... Won the Neuchatel Trophy in 2002 ... Since 1993, the Colonials have represented U.S. Figure Skating in France, England, Canada, Italy and Switzerland ... Team practices 12 hours per week on and off the ice.

Team Notes
Instead of captains, the team has a leadership squad ... The four-person squad is voted on by members of the team and are high school seniors who are returning junior team skaters ... Goals for this season are to retain long-lived international status and be a U.S. Junior World Team competitor for the third consecutive year ... Unique jobs held by team members are basket weaving instructor and ice cream scooper ... Team members hail from three states: Rhode Island, Massachusetts and Connecticut ... Skaters volunteer time with the beginner team ... Team participated in the Stacey Larsen "Make a Wish" Benefit ... Team participates in "Evening with Champions" sponsored by the Skating Club of Boston and benefiting the Jimmy Fund ... Head coach Merita Mullen's daughter is the team mascot ... Team does not discuss or speak of the World Challenge Cup for Juniors, but simply does the work necessary to achieve that goal ... If the team had to compete in another sport together it would be rowing because they are consistent, have good timing and the physical training/yoga coach has them working hard on core strength.
