IN MY WORDS

If I wasn't a figure skater ... I would love to be a either a gymnast or diver. I love flipping and turning. It would be so much fun.

I look up to ... my mom. She has so much to handle and manages to get it all done.

My favorite thing about being a figure skater is ... the satisfaction of mastering a new element, jump or spin. And I also just love the gliding feeling.

I started skating because ... my first grade class went on a field trip to the rink and I loved it so much that I signed up to take a group class with some of my friends.

My figure skating hero is ...Scott Hamilton. He has overcome so much in his life and he always kept on going.

I manage my pre-skate jitters by ... laughing and talking with my coaches. I love them so much and it's always fun to make jokes and laugh with them before competition.

My favorite thing about performing is ... the accomplished feeling of executing a good performance. And skating my program in the competition setting, it's kind of like a reward for all the hard work you've put into it.

After I'm done skating, I want to ... complete my bachelor’s degree, possibly go on to some type of grad school (maybe physical therapy) and continue to coach skating.

My hobby is ... playing the piano. It's my escape from a stressful day.

The best moment of my skating career thus far was ... earning the silver medal at the 2012 U.S. Championships and being chosen to represent Team USA at the 2012 World Junior Championships.

Something most people don't know about me is ... I love roller coasters! I am a total thrill seeker who will never be satisfied. One of my dreams is to go to Cedar Point in Ohio and ride every one of the 16 roller coasters.
