Missed the first half of the 2006-07 season due to injury but came back to claim the silver medal at the 2007 Finnish Championships and the 2007 Nordic Championships ... Continued her comeback in 2007-08 by winning the short program at Skate Canada in November and winning her first national title a month later ... Also won the bronze medal at the 2008 European Championships in her first appearance at Euros ... Won gold at the 2009 European Championships in her native Finland, becoming the country's first lady to win the prestigious event ... Placed sixth at the 2010 Olympic Winter Games and capped off her season by winning the bronze at the 2010 World Championships ... Missed the 2010-11 season with a variety of ailments and will miss the 2011-12 campaign because of a lingering ankle injury.
