U.S. International Classic to be streamed live for subscribers

(07/23/2013) - Reigning Olympic champion Evan Lysacek, five-time reigning U.S. champions and 2013 world ice dance champions Meryl Davis and Charlie White, 2013 U.S. champion Max Aaron and 2013 U.S. silver medalist Gracie Gold are among several American standouts who will compete at the 2013 U.S. International Figure Skating Classic, U.S. Figure Skating announced Tuesday.

The international senior competition, in its second year, will feature more than 70 athletes representing nearly 20 countries, and is scheduled for Sept. 11-15, in Salt Lake City.

Reigning U.S. pairs champions Marissa Castelli and Simon Shnapir, 2012 U.S. pairs champions Caydee Denney and John Coughlin and 2011 world dance bronze medalists Maia Shibutani and Alex Shibutani will also compete on behalf of Team USA.

For Lysacek, it will be his first time competing since winning Olympic gold.

The international field will include athletes from Canada, France, Germany, Israel, Chinese Taipei and more. International athletes will be confirmed at a later date. will provide complete event coverage of the U.S. International Classic, as well as the 2013 U.S. Challenge Skate.
