The team followed up its podium finish in Omaha, Neb., with a fourth-place showing at the 2013 Four Continents Championships.
They train in Florida with Jim Peterson and Lyndon Johnston. Among their scheduled competitions this summer are the "Summer Chiller" in Fort Myers, Fla., at the end of June, and Skate Detroit a month later.
Icenetwork.com: What's your favorite moment of your skating career so far?
Zhang: This year at nationals. We had a great performance; it's a moment I will never forget, and I'm looking forward to more this season.
Bartholomay: That's way up there for me, too. For me it was the feeling I had at the end of our long program, really feeling so thrilled. Not having to hope we would skate well -- we train so hard -- but going out there and feeling like we were just doing another run-through. It was just unbelievable.
Icenetwork.com: What's your favorite city, and what's your favorite thing to do in that city?
Bartholomay: I like going to New York City a lot. I've been there quite a few times. I really like to see shows -- I've seen The Lion King and Les Misérables.
Zhang: I'd also have to say New York City, because I skated there for so many years. I remember every Saturday, when I was done with skating, mom would always take me to Chinatown to eat.
Icenetwork.com: Speaking of food, what's your favorite kind of food?
Zhang: Sushi. Anything with salmon. I love salmon.
Bartholomay: Mine would have to be meatball subs. There's this place by my house in Pennsylvania, Dominic's, and they make the best meatball subs.
Icenetwork.com: What's your favorite movie?
Bartholomay: I really like The Italian Job. That's probably my all-time favorite. There's an older one, and I like that as much as the newer one. And I really got into Iron Man.
Zhang: I love all Disney movies. Finding Nemo is probably my favorite.
Icenetwork.com: What's your favorite thing about each other?
Bartholomay: Skating-wise, my favorite thing is that Felicia is just so strong in everything she does. She has this ability to focus on things -- almost too much -- but I think that's part of what made us so successful: her attitude, and the way she attacks everything she does.
Zhang: My favorite thing about Nate is that he can always make any situation funny. He can always make me smile; he can make a joke about anything. Those days where we work hard and nothing is going the way we want it to, he can keep a smile on my face for the rest of the day.
