The winner was Melinda Speer (Santa Rosa FSC) with a score of 41.31 points. Skating to music by Sarah McLaughlin, Speer was mostly clean, with just one under-rotation on a double Salchow-double loop combination. Her spins were also of high levels, getting one each of a 2, 3 and 4.
The silver medal went to Jamie Tanker (Los Angeles FSC) with a total score of 41.00 points. She had the highest program components score (PCS) of the night, but also backed that up with great technical content including a double loop, a double toe-single toe combination and a Level 3 spin.
Beth Delano (Philadelphia SC & HS) won the bronze with a total score of 38.97 points. Known for skating to more classical pieces, she decided to change things up this year and skated to Jeff Beck's version of "A Day in the Life." She completed several nice double jumps and ended with her classic layback.
The pewter medal went to Rebecca Musick (SC of San Francisco) with a score of 38.92 points. Having won the championship gold event two years ago, she moved up to this level and completed several double jumps. Two of her spins were called Level 2 and 4.
