(02/07/2013) - Three U.S. synchronized skating teams are set to compete at the Spring Cup, Feb. 8-10 in Sesto San Giovanni, Italy. The Skyliners (Monsey, N.Y.; Stamford, Conn.) will take the ice in the senior event, while the Lexettes (Lexington/Marlborough, Mass.) and Chicago Jazz (Rolling Meadows, Ill.) will compete in the junior event.

The Skyliners will compete internationally for the first time in Italy. They placed fifth last year at the 2012 U.S. Synchronized Skating Championships.

The Lexettes are five-time reigning U.S. synchronized bronze medalists. Last month, they won the World Junior Team Selection Competition, and they will compete next month at the 2013 World Junior Synchronized Championships.

Chicago Jazz, the five-time U.S. junior synchronized champions (2001-03, '06, '08), will make their 2013 international debut following a gold-medal finish in the junior event at the 2012 Neuchâtel Trophy. They are two-time junior medalists at this event, earning silver in 2004 and gold in 2008.
