Five favorite things with Sinead Kerr and John Kerr
Siblings agree on one thing: Muse is tops

After years of togetherness training under Evgeni Platov in central New Jersey, the Scottish siblings are living in separate states, with John moving to Manhattan to be with girlfriend [and former pairs competitor] Jessica Crenshaw, a Columbia University student.
"It's not too bad," Sinead said. "It's only about an hour. Whenever we work up a new program, or just need to practice, John comes back to Jersey."
Soon, they will be an ocean apart, for a little while at least.
"I have a TV gig on BBC [British television]; it's kind of an X Factor-type show for sports," Sinead said. "So it's back to England."
Next stops for the duo include Disson's "Tribute to the Beatles" as well as an exhibition turn at the 2012 European championships in Sheffield, England.
Any favorite movies?
Sinead: This might take some time ... I'd say one of my faves is Black Swan.
John: 12 Angry Men with Henry Fonda. I love that.
Sinead: Law and Order SVU and the PBS series Downton Abbey. I think Maggie Smith won an Emmy for it. [Editor's note: Smith won the award for best supporting actress at the 2011 Emmys.]
John: Mad Men. I love that 1960s style. I just went to Banana Republic and bought a whole outfit.
How about food?
John: The last time we [performed] in Japan we had Kalbi beef, a very expensive steak at a very expensive restaurant, courtesy of [Takahiko] Kozuka's agent. That was something.
Since you're both over 21, any favorite drink?
John: G and T [gin and tonic], although Don Draper [from Mad Men] drinks Scotch on the rocks, so that works, too.
I think I know this one, but any favorite band?
Sinead: I guess that's no surprise, considering we did two free dances to Muse!
Bonus question ...
John: I'm taking swing dance lessons in New York, just myself, not with Sinead or Jessica.
