(09/16/2011) - Caesars Entertainment and StarGames announce the return of figure skating to Atlantic City with "The Caesars Tribute II: A Salute to the Ladies of the Ice," which will take place Saturday, Dec. 3 at 7:30 p.m. at Atlantic City's historic Boardwalk Hall.

The star-studded lineup includes world champion Miki Ando and past medalists and champions Sarah Hughes, Irina Slutskaya, Nancy Kerrigan, Tara Lipinski, Yuka Sato, Joannie Rochette, Sasha Cohen, Nicole Bobek, Shizuka Arakawa, Liz Manley and more. A special tribute presentation will be made to skating icon Peggy Fleming. The event will air nationally on NBC from 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. ET on New Year's Day.

Tickets for the event are available on Ticketmaster.com and at the Boardwalk Hall box office.

"To have gold medalists, past Olympians and champions of figure skating performing at historic Boardwalk Hall in front of a national audience is incredible for Atlantic City," said Don Marrandino, eastern division president for Caesars Entertainment. "We look forward to a successful start to the new year with this great sporting event."

"We are thrilled to again partner with Caesars by saluting some of the greatest champions in ladies figure skating history," said Jerry Solomon, executive producer and president of StarGames. "With a roster that has won 11 Olympic and 25 world medals, the Caesars Tribute II will keep the enduring and rich history of figure skating at the famous Boardwalk Hall alive."

A new element to the show is its partnership with U.S. Figure Skating and its National Skating Month initiative. The event, when televised on NBC on New Year's Day, will serve as the official "kick-off" for National Skating Month. Celebrating its 10th anniversary, National Skating Month, held each January, is an opportunity for U.S. Figure Skating rinks and local programs to celebrate skating through a series of organized on- and off-ice activities that will attract new families to the world of skating.

"The event will showcase some of the world's greatest skating talent while giving National Skating Month a platform to reach more potential skaters than ever before," said David Raith, executive director, U.S. Figure Skating. "We hope that fans watching around the country will be inspired by these ladies to visit their local rinks during the month of January, or whenever they have the opportunity."
