(09/17/2010) - OTTAWA, ON -- Skate Canada will have five entries at the fourth stop on the ISU Junior Grand Prix in Karuizawa, Japan, from September 22-26, 2010. Canada will be represented in three disciplines, men's, ladies and ice dance.

Leading the men's division is Andrei Rogozine, 16, Richmond Hill. Ont. Rogozine is fresh from his first victory on the circuit. He won gold earlier this season at his first ISU Junior Grand Prix assignment in France. On the ISU Junior Grand Prix circuit for a third season, Rogozine is coached by Inga Zusev and Andreï Berezintsev at the Richmond Hill Training Centre.

Shaquille Davis, 18, Thornhill, Ont., is the second entry in the men's discipline. This is Davis' second ISU Junior Grand Prix; in 2008 he placed 17 in Sheffield. In 2010 he just missed the podium while competing at the 2010 BMO Skate Canada Junior Nationals to place fourth. He trains out of the Richmond Training Centre and is coached by Rachel Davis and Yvan Desjardins.

Kaetlyn Osmond, 14, Marystown, Nfld., is the only entry for Canada in the ladies category. This is her first season on the ISU Junior Grand Prix circuit. Osmond won bronze in junior at the 2010 BMO Skate Canada Junior Nationals and was the novice champion in 2009. She is coached by Ravi Walia at the Ice Palace FSC in Edmonton.

Kelly Oliveira, 17, Toronto, Ont., and Jordan Hockley, 18, Whitby, Ont., will be one of two entries for Canada in ice dance. They are the current Canadian Novice Ice Dance Champions and this is their first year on the ISU Junior Grand Prix circuit. They are coached by Carol Lane and Donna Iijima at the Scarboro FCS.

Also competing in ice dance are Victoria Hasegawa, 16, Hudson, Que., and Connor Hasegawa, 18, Hudson, Que. They won bronze in novice ice dance at the 2010 Skate Canada Junior Nationals. This is also their first year on the ISU Junior Grand Prix circuit. They train in Hudson, Que., with coaches Marie-France Dubreuil and Patrice Lauzon.

Carolyn Allwright of Waterloo, Ont., is the team leader at the event and Karen Butcher of Greely, Ont., and Reaghan Fawcett of Aurora, Ont., are the Canadian officials at the event.
