JGP Italy crowns new and old champions
Michal Brezina of the Czech Republic cemented his status as the top junior men's skater at the JGP Italy, and Americans Melissa Bulanhagui, Madison Chock and Greg Zuerlein joined him on the top of the podium.
Olympian Wayne Seybold now mayor
Wayne Seybold, who captured the pairs silver medal at the U.S. Figure Skating Championships twice, and also competed at the 1988 Olympics with his sister Natalie, is now the mayor of his hometown of Marion, Ind. He's one year into his second term, fresh off a political trip to Russia and currently serving as a delegate at the Republican National Convention. Full story >

09/02/2008 Second JGP event this weekend in Italy
The second event of the 2008 International Skating Union (ISU) Junior Grand Prix of Figure Skating (JGP) Series takes place Sept. 3-7 in Merano, Italy. The event will be held at the Meranarena - Via Palade 74, beginning Thursday, Sept. 4 with the compulsory dance and the ladies and men's short programs. Official practice will take place Wednesday.
